BBroke Public School is located in the Upper Hunter, approximately 22km from Singleton. It services the township of Broke and outlying properties and is a focal point of the community. The school is situated in the Hunter Valley vineyards and is supported by the local mining industries. The school has a current enrolment of 29 K-6 students comprising 2 multistage classes. Additionally, the school hosts the Singleton Council Mobile Preschool on site, with current enrolments sitting at 7 students.

Broke Public School is currently classified as a TP2 school. There is 1 permanent full-time teaching principal, 2 permanent teachers, 1 permanent part-time School Administration Manager (SAM) and 1 permanent part-time General Assistant (GA). A number of temporary teachers support staffing within the school. The school has one school-funded School Learning Support Officer (SLSO), supporting a number of students from Kindergarten to Year 6.
